Within a year of building this business, I’d crossed $1.1 Million in sales
The year after that, I moved into the high-rise apartment—with the floor to ceiling windows—that I’d dreamed about when I first moved to New York.
And the next year? I became a true business owner. Having the systems and team to support me in continuing to grow the business and help more people. While only doing the things I personally wanted to do.
Today, my business continues to grow by leaps and bounds. The number of people we’re able to help increases exponentially every year.
And it’s all the result of three questions I asked myself at the beginning of my business:

I’m not talking about your sales. That’s important. But even more important is your profit. AKA how much your bank account is actually growing every month.
Because unfortunately, there’s often a big difference between the two. (Over the years, I’ve seen too many entrepreneurs who make six-, or even seven-figures, only to have to pay it all back into their business.)
Ultimately, it boils down to this:
Is your business also supporting you in growing your bank accounts and investments each month?
Especially after expenses, taxes, donations, and the cost of living your dream life while taking care of your loved ones?
And in case you’re thinking that “Money isn’t everything”…No, it isn’t. But it sure makes things a lot more fun. So if you’re going to work hard and help others, why the heck not get paid well for it too?
For me, that means never having to worry about buying the things I want, living where and how I want, donating generously to causes I care about, and spoiling my loved ones. All while having the peace of mind that the money is covered – plus I’ll also be growing my savings and investments every month too.
…And anything else that you don’t feel excited about spending your time on.
After all, isn’t that kind of the whole point of having your own business?
In case you’re wondering:
No, I don’t do any of the above.
In fact, the only things I do do in my business?
Which also gives me plenty of time and space to also do some other fun things in my business if and when I want to:
Like speak, travel, host my own events, and connect with other world changers doing awesome things.
If I decided to take tomorrow off, you wouldn’t know it. The business would still make lots of sales. Our customer support will still be handled beautifully. And my content would still get published.
Same thing if I took the next week off. Or even the next month.
Don’t get me wrong. I work hard when I work. But there’s a difference between working hard, versus working hard…all the time.
Because if you can’t afford to take even a day off, the truth is this:
You don’t have a business.
You just have a self-employed gig.
